Preventing osteoporosis - How does it work?

Osteoporosis is a chronic disease of the skeletal system and occurs when the body breaks down more bone mass than it creates. The decrease in bone density and deterioration of the bone structure increases the risk of fractures. Statistics show that around one in three women and one in five men over the age of 50 will suffer at least one osteoporotic fracture in the course of their lives. These fractures can not only restrict mobility and impair quality of life, but also shorten life expectancy.

Osteoporosis often develops gradually over many years and usually causes no symptoms until a fracture occurs. However, this is not an unalterable fate. Timely diagnosis and suitable preventive measures can counteract this. In her lecture, Dr. Maren G. Glüer explains the importance of early diagnosis and prevention. Because: strong bones are possible at any age!

We look forward to seeing you and discussing the topic.

The event is held in German.

Best,
